David S. Williams III

Co-Founder & CEO

Entrepreneur, thought leader, and visionary, David Williams has shaped the foundations of digital health innovation helping more than 2 million people use health information to drive better care and outcomes. CareThree is inspired by David’s sandwich generation experience caring for his mother prior to her passing and his special needs son.

David was previously co-Founder and CEO for InvolveCare, a mobile task crowdsourcing platform for family caregivers incubated within Aetna’s Healthagen unit. In only 22 months, InvolveCare was acquired and became Aetna’s Medicaid mobile app.

David previously was a Founding Executive of PatientsLikeMe, the world’s first and leading consumer health data sharing platform. He has also held corporate positions at Aetna, Eli Lilly and Deloitte. David currently serves on multiple public, private, and nonprofit boards, including on the board of advisors for The Price Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at UCLA.

David is a 2013 Henry Crown Fellow and a 2018 Braddock Fellow of The Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. David earned a BS in Economics and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Digital Strategy with a certificate in Corporate Governance from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Jon Chun

Co-Founder & COO

Jon’s consumer media and entertainment expertise from eBay, Sony Pictures Digital, THX and Intel helped pioneer the digital distribution of content including on-demand video, music/audio and pictures as part of digital entertainment product suites. Now Jon is bringing his talents to the healthcare industry to help drive consumer engagement and better outcomes.

Jon was previously co-Founder and Head of Marketing for InvolveCare, a mobile task crowdsourcing platform for family caregivers incubated within Aetna’s Healthagen unit, where he worked to create an engaging platform for patients and families to connect, interact, and willingly help each other.

Jon earned bachelors degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science Engineering from University of California at Berkeley and his MBA in Digital Strategy and Entrepreneurship from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
